Biography
Dr. Bassam Masri is a professor and former head of the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of British Columbia and former head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Vancouver Acute. His area of practice is focused on adult hip and knee reconstruction and replacement. He is also a former president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the Knee Society and a member of the Hip Society. He is an honorary fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, an honorary member of the German Orthopaedic Association and the Colombian Orthopaedic Association. He has authored numerous research and review articles and book chapters and has lectured extensively both in North America and internationally.
