Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) is home to over 1,000 principal investigators involved in basic science, clinical and translational research, and provides a unique environment to advance knowledge and health outcomes through collaborative partnerships.
Depending on the role of individual investigators, VCHRI members receive benefits such as invitations to attend local events and educational offerings, including workshops, lecture series and networking opportunities; knowledge sharing and communications support; and access to research services, including award funding and grant management, core facilities, and financial and clinical trial administration services.
Types of Membership
- Investigator: An investigator is a researcher who leads or co-leads research at a Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) facility or a VCHRI research centre, and has medical appointment or are on staff at VCH.
- Affiliated Investigator: An affiliated investigator is a researcher who holds a primary appointment at another research institute, university or organization.
