Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute (VCHRI) provides resources to help researchers expand their reach and engage more potential study participants. Recruitment support resources available to researchers with operational approval include:
Posting in the VCHRI study directory
The VCHRI Study Directory is a centralized database to showcase the research studies conducted by VCHRI researchers and provide an easy-to-access online directory for the public to find opportunities to participate in research studies. As per agreement with the UBC Research Ethics Board, VCHRI posts all registered clinical trials in the study directory.
To request recruitment support for non-registered studies, investigators must fill out and submit the Recruitment Support Form.
Social sharing on VCHRI’s X channel
With over 7,400 followers, @VCHResearch can help reach potential participants across B.C. Social promotion is available for both registered and non-registered studies.
Promotion in VCHRI's newsletter
VCHRI's newsletter, Research Insider, is sent to over 4,000 subscribers on a biweekly basis. Researchers can request to have their actively recruiting studies featured in the newsletter alongside breaking research news, educational workshops and funding opportunities.
Recruitment poster
VCHRI can assist researchers with study recruitment with a poster that highlights details on study design, eligibility criteria, location and more. Study teams can print or share the VCHRI-branded poster through their own channels to raise awareness for their clinical trial or research study.
Promotional materials
Researchers can contact the VCHRI Communications team about featuring their studies or findings in the Research Insider newsletter and to request participation awareness materials, such as brochures or resource cards.
