Biography
Taylor McLinden, PhD, is the Scientific and Quality Assurance Officer (Epidemiology and Population Health Program) at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) in Vancouver, Canada. In this position, he leads initiatives focused on education and capacity building in epidemiologic methods. He also holds an appointment as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University.
Prior to a postdoctoral fellowship at the BC-CfE, Taylor completed a PhD (Epidemiology) in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University. He also earned a MSc in Epidemiology from the University of Guelph and a BSc (Honours) in Biomedical Sciences from Brock University. During his training, he developed methodological expertise in causal inference and longitudinal data analysis. Presently, his efforts relate to facilitating the use of linked administrative health data for scientific research.
